Use Lahoz, 1976, Spanish writer and poet, studied Humanities at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. In 2005 his debut novel "Leer del revés" was published by Ediciones El Cobre and was awarded with the First Novel Prize at the Festival du Premier roman de Chambery, France. His second novel entiteled "Los Baldrich", for which he received the New Talent Prize FNAC, was published in 2009. The newest one "La estación perdida" came out in January 2011. Both appeared at Alfaguara.
He is also the author of two volumes of poems: "Envío sin cargo" (Renacimiento, Sevilla 2007) and "A todo pasado" (Prames, Zaragoza 2010).
Since 2004 he works as a cultural and travel journalist in El Viajero section, in El País, and for the magazines: Qué leer, Marie Claire, and Metro.

Use Lahoz lives and works in Madrid. He speaks Spanish, Catalán, French, Italian, English, Portuguese and German.
