Urs Mannhart, 1975, German-Swiss writer, studied German, English and Philosophy. In 2004 his debut novel and bestseller „luchs“ (lynx) was published by bilgerverlag, Zurich. His second book „Die Anomalie des geomagnetischen Feldes südöstlich von Domodossola“ (The Anomaly of the Geomagnetic Field in the Southeast of Domodossola) came out in 2006 and was awarded with the Book Prize of the Canton Bern in 2007. In 2008 he received the “Weiterschreiben” Prize of the City of Bern. As part of the “Velokurierbuch” in 2008 his “Kuriernovelle” (Courier’s Novella) was published.
Urs Mannhart forms part of the literature group “Die Autören”, together with Christoph Simon, Bern, and Lorenz Langenegger, Zürich. He lives and works as author and bike courier in Bern.
