The poet Pietro Montorfani was born on May 23rd 1980 in Bellinzona (Switzerland). After having worked as a cultural editor of the "Giornale del Popolo", he spent two years as an assistant for Italian literature at the University of Mary Washington in the USA. He gained his doctorate on Italian literature of the Renaissance at the Catholic University of Milano and is currently the editor in chief of Cenobio, the largest literary magazine in the Italian speaking part of Switzerland.
