Noëlle Revaz was born in 1968 and grew up in Vernayaz as the sixth of nine children. She studied literature in Lausanne and taught Latin.
In 2002, Edition Gallimard published her first novel "Rapport aux bêtes" (Report on Brutes), which has been recognised, among others, with the Schiller foundation award, the Prix Lettres Frontière and the Prix Marguerite Audoux. In 2004, Urs Engeler Editor in Basel published the novel in a German translation entitled "Von wegen den Tieren." The book has been adapted for the stage twice, and will be adapted for the screen in 2009.
Furthermore, Noëlle Revaz wrote some novellas, monologues and radio plays. She collaborates with the Swiss Literature Institute at Biel and is a member of the writers' group "Bern is everywhere" (readings/spoken word). Noëlle Revaz lives in Lausanne.
