The Swiss writer Daniel Goetsch was born in Zurich in 1968, and grew up in Windisch and Nussbaumen. He completed his law studies at the Zurich and Toulouse universities with a degree of a licenciate.
In 1999, Daniel Goetsch’s first novel "Aspartam" was published by the bilger publishing house. Besides further novels, such as "X" (2004) or "Ben Kader" (2006), the author also published theatre and radio plays, as well as numerous narrations in anthologies.
Daniel Goetsch is a member of the Swiss association of writers "Authors of Switzerland". In recognition of his work, Goetsch has received, among others, the Honor Donation of the Zurich canton in 1999, the authors’ prize of the Heidelberg Stückemarkt (2002) and the Werkbeitrag of the Zurich canton in 2003.
Daniel Goetsch lives in Berlin.
