Alain Freudiger was born in 1977 in Lausanne. He studied film science, his final thesis was on humour in Monty-Python-movies. After the publication of some novellas and poems he became a critic with the magazine FILM, which is no longer in print today. Currently he writes for the movie-magazine "Décadrages" as well as for the magazine "La Distinction". His novel "Bujard et Panchaud ou les faux-consommateurs" (Bujard and Panchaud or the fake consumers) was published in 2007 by Editions Castagniééé.
