Tŷ Newydd offers a programme of residential creative writing courses in Welsh and English to writers of all ages, at all levels of experience and in many genres, and also organises writers’ retreats and residencies. It is situated in the heart of Welsh speaking Wales and aims to nurture the reading and writing of both literatures of Wales while encouraging interchange with writers from other countries.

Wales Literature Exchange works to facilitate the translation of Wales' literature worldwide and administers a translation grant fund for publishers. WLE participates in international book fairs, and works with translators, publishers and festivals abroad to facilitate literary exchange between Wales and the world.
